About the Founder

Nayeem Mano

GRC executive. 27 years in payments, banking, and risk across three continents. Serving BSA/AML Compliance Officer of a large public US company. Perennial builder.

Nayeem's career began in 1998 in commercial credit at Standard Chartered Bank — and restarted, from scratch, as an immigrant to Canada whose experience the local market didn't yet know how to read. What followed is the arc QAML is built on: two decades of deliberate compounding through credit risk, predictive analytics, payments, cards, and anti-money laundering, across credit unions, a public provincial bank, two venture-backed fintechs, and now a public US company.

He has run the numbers side — a $250 million card portfolio with full P&L accountability, credit policy through two recessions — and the control side: building a BSA/AML program from zero at a startup, then carrying compliance officer accountability for roughly $450 billion in annual payment flows. Few practitioners have held both the growth P&L and the compliance pen; that dual vantage is QAML's editorial spine.

QAML — Quantum AML — is his platform for the conviction that financial crime compliance is entering a step-change: AI-scale detection, converging global regimes, and a profession that must grow to govern both. He writes it for the practitioners running today's programs and coaches the newcomers who will run tomorrow's.

“Compliance done well is not friction. It is the trust infrastructure that lets honest money move fast.”
